About The Bunk House at Cross Keys

Where the "Yellowstone" Meets the "High Plains of Central Oregon". The Bunk House at Cross Keys Station is a treasure in the Wild West Glam of Central Oregon. Located along Highway 97, this newly constructed boutique hotel (now open for business) features 50 Rustic Luxury hotel rooms carefully crafted with furniture and art that draw inspiration from the cowboys, ranchers, sheepmen, and Native Americans of Central Oregon’s Historic past. The Bunk House teams with the Personality of The Old West and delivers true Central Oregon Hospitality with simple pleasures and genuine hospitality, where a man's handshake was a man's word and the Code of the West was honor, dignity, and responsibility.

Ghost Trees, 900 to 1000 years old, line the driveway as you approach The Bunk House. Decorative vintage light poles provide lighting to guide our guests to the front door. The building features Montana Moss stone, raw steel, and barnwood, making it a striking combination.

The hotel's Crown Jewel is its beautiful third-floor breakfast and outdoor patio space. This area offers guests unrivaled views of the City of Madras and the surrounding Ochoco (Blues) and Grizzly Mountains. Guests can experience the views while sipping coffee and warming themselves next to the relaxing indoor/outdoor fireplace, the perfect setting for small groups to enjoy intimate occasions. The third floor also displays the many hats of the Old West in a lighted wooden/glass case.

Guests enter the lobby on aged brick flooring as the eye is drawn to a masterful centerpiece, a beautiful canoe light fixture. The fixture overlooks plush couches and beautiful leather chairs. The open layout of the lobby and tall ceilings are complimented by a turn-of-the-century tobacco mantle sitting on a large steel fireplace. A small store, providing refreshing drinks and treats, is tucked away in a small corner of the lobby. The business center, on the second floor, includes an old trunk converted into a desk and provides a beautiful view overlooking the lobby. Laundry facilities are available for our traveling guests.

The 50 rooms provide true Rustic Luxury. The BH brand is stamped into every headboard on saddle leather. The furnishings are all topped with hand-hammered patina copper, embodied into beautiful wormwood. Many different colored leather and cowhide chairs grace each room coupled with matching bolster pillows. Each room is equipped with a 55-inch LCD TV and sliding barn doors to the bathrooms (reminiscent of the Old West barns). Beautiful durasein showers grace each room. The Bunk House features 10 kitchenette rooms for long-term stays which include a large refrigerator, a small stove, a microwave, and a Keurig pod coffee maker. Two guest rooms feature built-in bunk beds for larger parties, with the option of adjoining rooms. Pictures throughout the hotel encompass the theme of the Old West.
